Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the minimum age to be considered a senior citizen?

Different organisations have different age for retirement. Hence we have kept 58 as the minimum age to be considered a senior citizen.

Would both the genders compete in the same category?

Can only senior citizens submit their entries?

Not at all! Anyone who has a story to share about an inspirational senior or their talent can share the story here. Just make sure that the senior is comfortable with his/her story being shared.

I have a great story/video to share. How do I share it?

It’s simple. Just click here, enter the required details and the story/ video and you're done! Make sure you confirm your entry by clicking on the link in the e-mail that will be sent to you as soon as you submit a story.

Can I share stories of only seniors in my family?

No, you can share stories of neighbours, extended family...any senior you know of. Just make sure that you upload a photo/scanned copy of a letter of consent from the senior whose story you are sharing

I know a great story of a remarkable senior, but I don't have his/ her photo! What do I do?

While we would love to get a photo of every achiever or talent, it is not mandatory. Go ahead and submit your story without a photo!

I uploaded a story, but I can't see it on the website. Where did it go?

Every story that you upload goes through 2 rounds of confirmation:

1) Your confirmation via an e-mail, immediately after you submit the entry
2) A moderator's confirmation that ensures the entry does not contain any objectionable content.

Please ensure that you have done the e-mail verification. If you haven’t, just check your e-mail inbox, open the confirmation mail and click on the link in it to confirm your entry.

If you still can't see your story after e-mail verification, it most likely means the moderator has yet to approve the story for publishing. An entry gets published within 3 days of it being submitted to the moderator.

I want to edit the entry I have uploaded. How do I do that?

Sorry, but the website does not have the functionality of editing a submitted story. What you can do is upload your edited entry once again and then write to us at and ask us to delete the earlier version.

I have uploaded an entry and it got published as well.
How can I tell my friends so that they can see it too?

Just search for your entry in the search box at the top of the website, locate it and then click on the social media icons at the bottom of the story to share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Google Plus and E-mail

I read some of the entries, saw the videos and found some of them very inspiring.
I want to share them with my friends. How do I do that?

Every story has icons below it for liking it or sharing it on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Google Plus and E-mail. Simply click the icon to like or share!

No. Even if the post privacy is set for friends, or customised, the number of likes will still be counted.
